- Hydro polygon features in the State of Arizona with an emphasis on lakes, ponds and reservoirs. This polygon cover consists of all the lakes and bounded water bodies in Arizona as well as the Colorado River. This dataset was digitized from the 1:500,000 scale, 'Hydrologic Unit Map - 1974, State of Arizona', by the U.S. Dept. of the Interior and U.S. Dept. of the Army.
- Purpose
- The data are created to serve as base information for use in GIS systems for a variety of planning and analysis purposes. Use of data for Engineering work is prohibited. This datasets is made available to interested persons through the University of Arizona's instance of Open Geoportal. It has been provided to assist educators, students, researchers, and policy makers in mapping and/or analysis applications.
